hey guy my name is pop i just brought a 1997 gmc yukon 5.7 4wd with 125000 miles on it. Im looking to improve my pedal responce and figure out a way to improve mpg by lets say 5mpg. Im a strong about only putting high test gas in the tank and also put fuel cleaner in so i know that gas in always burning clean. Let a rookie know some good idea's and the cost of the idea thanks

unknown at this time.
use the tier 1 gasoline at the minimum octane your pcm is programmed for nothing more. you can get a K&n fipk 57 series and a ported throttle body with the single piece blade to start. that will get your response cracking add larger ratio rockers and the resigned injectors after to top it off. complete it with exhaust and computer improvements.

5mpg? lol yeah right....

I agree with sunlit. Go back to using 87 octane. Then after that I would look at a new throttle body.
