If this happens, I am moving: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/t...-leave-oregon-for-idaho/ar-AAKeNFK?li=BBnb7Kz

Still no salt on the roads there either.

Same here with Weld County in Colorado. They want to move the boundary so they're in Wyoming, and I don't blame them. The legislature here is concentrated along the Front Range, but primarily left-leaning Boulder and Denver, and they don't give a $hit about the rural areas.

You bet it is!

My cousin, Bev, lives in Paradise, Ca. and she has lived there over 50 years and is a retired Paradise police officer. She is fed up and after the politics, taxes, idiot politicians, rolling black outs and the big fire in 2018, she is moving back to Mo. where our families are from. She is gonna buy a 4 bedroom home and she wants me to move there with her. It will be in Warrensburg, south of KC. As of our talk last night she wants me to live rent free and just share with utilities and food and any other expenses we run in to.

If the counties splitting from Oregon does not happen, I am going to take her up on her offer. She is my favorite. Her and my mom were the only people that wrote me letters when I was in Vietnam. She even still has some of her and my letters from then. We have always been close. She gets me and my politics and she is a dead on shot at 30 yards and closer.

The only drawback is the weather there that I moved away from 27 years ago and the salt on the roads.

Yessir! That sounds pretty ideal. Wife and I are seriously considering moving from Co. It’s become an offshoot of Ca. We absolutely love this state, but it’s definitely been ruined. Going to look at properties in Tn & SD here in July. Hopefully not too late. With the insane market here, we stand to make a very tidy profit from our current home. Could even buy outright in one of those places, but I’d probably want more land than that. [emoji16][emoji106][emoji631][emoji631]

The best thing about her selling and moving is not only is the market hot but in Paradise, Ca. she had rental property that burned completely down and she has that full pay off insurance and her 2 story 4 bedroom home just got some exterior damage that has been fixed and is in great shape. many people that got burned out completely want to rebuild and stay in Paradise. The government is dragging their feet approving use of the property/ground till they sign off. The ones that don't want to wait to rebuild are paying top dollar and then some for existing homes. She has over a dozen offers already on her home. She is just waiting for the settlement payout from PG&E and then she will sell. To buy, in Warrensburg, Mo., a 4 bedroom single story ranch home with a double car garage and basement would be about 2/3 or less of what she will get for her home in Paradise. Her son lives there now and he is scouting homes for her and she already has a realtor in Warrensburg. He was in the Air Force and stationed at Whitman Air Base.
