So some research suggests dont bother spraying clear, either a hand wipe like @Tonyrodz says or just keep adding wax and re sand again every year.

I did start at 220 dry grit in one spot to see if I could make perfect, took a lot of 320 dry and 400 wet to remove scratches but I was able to make it look good.

What did your research find out about spraying clear on the headlights? Turns yellow quick?
Possible crackling also like a spider web. Also that re sanding in the future would be very difficult.

Makes sense. When I did headlight restoration for my business I'd give a 1 yr warranty against yellowing or clouding--never got a complaint, and I did it for 9 yrs.

Finished sanding and got some primer on. Still need a little spot putty but not too bad. 108AFF0D-6452-41FD-A838-69284CCEBD58.jpeg95FE8525-D57E-4404-A661-82A9B8FEE73B.jpegThink I’ll move to the other side. Haven’t had time to make it to the paint shop to try and match better. Dam work gets in the way.
