I currently home on r@r from afganistan for about 15 days. Been home for about 6 days now and driving my yukon everyday. Seems atleast every other day someones telling me how nice it is, on the other hand for the third time today someone has tired to race me in these last 6 days and mnay other times before i deployed.I dont have any exhaust or fany sticker on my yuk. Just what my pictures shows and my hid's when my familys not with me i usuallly have my subs on. Today was a little ranger on the interstate, lastnight a single cab z71 which by the way left me in the dust for some reason and the first time a small s10. Just wondering if its me or the people around here. It not like i sit at red lights calling people out. Idk guess iam just rambling on i, i was alittle upset the z71 left me standing though just gettin beat stinks lol. But i guess i have alot more to move then a single cab truck.

Sounds like you need to make an intake/exhaust/efan/BBtune/corvette servo mod plunge!! :) What motor are you running in yours?

I have the 5.3 vortec have a hypertech programmer on it but i guess i need more, really not trying to race lol but defintely dont like to be left standing if i decide to mess around from time to time. defintely looking into a exhaust and maybe a bb tune, it was about. People seem to do it whenever they see me i guess all black truck with 5% windows just seems like it should have more under the hood been .focusing on better mpg's though.

I have no clue what an efan/corvette servo mod plunge are. Could someone please explain what each is and what each will do for me. And if i am looking to buy one the best place to get the parts. How easy are they to install? I am defintely interested.

I get that too. I think the leveling kit and custom wheels and tires make people think that you got other things done to it. I usually get it once a week but usually do play along. Also my wife noticed it too. When she drives her malibu no one does anything and then when she drives the Tahoe people try messing with you.

I think thats what the main cause is, whit my wheels all black truck and dark windows i guess if i saw it id think id have more to then just a few bolt on's. I think its time to change that lol

I get it occasionally. Probably the exhaust and like you said, blacked out look.

The servo gives you better shifts.
The electric fans give you better cooling.
Many tutorials and more in depth explanations for both laying around in here. Check the tech info section.

If your hypertech is like my buddy's diablo programmer, I'd say you would be better off with a BB tune instead of the handheld. When my buddy had his diablo on his 6.0 silverado while I have my BB tune on my denali and I can smoke him anytime!!

As for the fans, they free up a bit throttle response since you no longer have engine drag from a belt driven fan!! Also provides way better A/C performance in the summer, cools off a hot truck faster when need be, and if you get a '05/'06 OEM fan setup it takes up less room than a belt driven fan as well as bolts up like it should have been there in the first place!!
