you can always pull a tape measure on it...

another questions guys. can you get a different size belt and disconnect the clutch fan from the belt completely? seems like this would completely eliminate the drag on the belt

you'll be removing the clutch fan to install efans, but the pully won't amount to much undo stress to be worth going the entire route of pulling it and getting a shorter belt.

This is something I would like to do aswell. Im new to the site and Im still gathering info. Im a big DIYer. I rebuilt the engine in my T/A so I think this would be a breeze. Just to get this straight, I want any 05+ dual e-fan set up the harness and pulley? Then I need to have a tuner turn the pins on? And possibly drop in a lower temp t-stat? Do I have is pretty much covered?

depending upon your radiator size for a stock look you may need the 34" radiator too.

I installed two 16" Procomp fans on my 04 Yukon XL with the 6.0. I bought them off some guy on the old forum. It came with a wiring kit that had a tap for the water jacket a relay and wiring for two fans. This kit was a POS. The fans pulled more amps then stated and I burned through the relay, the fuse and the wiring kit died.

I did not notice any appreciable benefit from the conversion, with the exception of the noise in hot weather from the fan clutch engaging when the AC is on, on a hot day.

I have a dual fan set up on my Land Rover and I was able to see a good increase in HP/Torque. But with our trucks having a good bit of HP from the factory, I did not see much of anything.

If you are going to do this, I would wire each fan up separately with it's own relay, fuse and wiring, this way if there is some sort of a problem, you will have at least one fan working.

I left my stock fan shroud on to keep the air focused as it flows through the radiator.

That is exactly why I refer folks to stick with the stock set up and allow the PCM to control the fans. The OEM fans work flawlessly and you don't have to rely on a switch or temp probe.

Do the PCM controlled come on with the ac clutch? Can you adjust the temperature at which the fans turn on with PCM?
