Keep plugging, man! You’ll get it. I just like jabbing at you but truth be told you’ve got more perseverance than I ever would. I don’t have the patience for a “going fast” build for exactly the reasons you’ve posted about lol

if I hadn’t known you for so long on the forums I probably wouldn’t jab as much :roflbow:

this is not smart or fun 95% of the time. shouldve thrown in the towel a ways back, but just seeing it through to the end at this point. me doing stuff just means i havent lost interest in it yet lol, when its "done" that means im over it

soo it appears that i have fixed a few things.
its been miserably hot past couple days ive been trying to tune it, like 100+. its making some steam, truck doesnt seem to mind but i'd like to keep temps down
coolant temp is a little higher than id like it to be, trans temp same thing.

i ordered another trucool 40k to swap coolers on the trans, plan on putting it probably vertically right in front of the intercooler - i dont think it restricts airflow all that much.

coolant temp - rises while cruising and beating on it, i can park it with it 210* and the fans will cool it back down to 185* within 10 min or so. its not undriveable, but a 45min cruise temps will want to creep up over 200-210. I can throw on the cabin heater and temps will come back down cruising - that is kind of why i think its an air flow problem - this just isnt really a great idea when its already hot af outside
couple of things im going to try: swapping the transcooler will take some of the obstruction of the radiator away from whatever isnt already behind the intercooler. when i had the front fascia off i think i removed the barriers from the sides of the radiator thus allowing air to go around the radiator to under the hood. i'm going to throw something back in there so all the air will be forced through the cores. If that doesnt work, i was going to try and take the heater lines out of the loop and force all the water through the engine. and if that doesnt work then i guess i need to do ditch the air to air intercooler and open the radiator back up completely

when i had it apart - i ended up having a 9lb spring in the wastegate (thought it was 6lb) so it was controlling the boost pretty good. but i threw another 1.5psi spring in it (10.5 total) and used a little manual boost controller and bumped it up to around 15psi, feels pretty strong, but thats about where im out of fuel on about E80. the switch im using for the second pump is sorta unreliable so im going to put a bypass on it, if i know im going to WOT pull i can just turn it on

Mine are pwm...start at like 160/55% ramps up to 195/99%. I also played with the fans after ignition off, have it and water pump on for up to 300seconds depending on temp

Huh I'm interested to know what the solution ends up being. Underhood temps was one of the main reasons I didn't go turbo originally on my Silverado, but I haven't seen many people have this issue especially with the cooling upgrades.

no clue, i had thought there may just be a huge air pocket in the system, but i put like a foot of pipe on the overflow tank and a T fitting and a foot of tubing where the small 4an line goes back into the radiator and just flooded the thing, kept water pressure on it , while circulating the pump. im fairly sure no air in there now.

I took it out the other night when it was lightly raining, temp was prob around 80, beating on it only went up to like 190*. was pretty sketchy though.
the days ECT has gone up over 200+ on the dash its showing 100*+ outside

I know your truck is no where close to stock but the best way to burp the stock cooling system on these rigs is to have the nose up in the air. My driveway is quite steep and I usually back down the driveway when burping the system.

dunno just went out and BTS out of it... barely went over 180

also, we may have a runner on our hands boys :naughty:

intake manifold pressure 24.4-14.6(atmosphere) about 10psi launch
and check out the timestamp.... 43:45.560 @ 0mph, 43:52.230@100mph less than 7 seconds 0-100mph and that red line jumping was spinning the tires off the line
