Nah a2a still, street pulls it really isnt an issue even with ambient being 90* end of a pull it is usually only about 125*. but when i start with 120* it sucks

ive put quite a bit into going a2w but to do it how i want would be a lot of money to make the switch all at once, i'd like to do a chiller and not have to f with ice all the time so that adds even more $$ to it.
Wait.. Randeez..? Is that you? I think your account has been hacked! This dude is claiming it’s too much money and work to do...! [emoji1787][emoji23]

budget build goin on here

I would want to pretty much replace the rear ac unit with the interchiller system, put in a pretty big water tank (10-15gal) somewhere in the back, recessed into the floor would be nice since i dont have a spare tire anyway. cost of hose to run it up front to intercooler would suck, hoses would need to be insulated or would sweat all to hell, waterbox would sweat and need to be insulated, otherwise track would hate everything dripping the entire time... it just involves a lot associated crap to make it usable for what i want to do with it

A ton of work and money for sure! Although I’m not sure “budget build” fits the bill.. [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Huh I'm interested to know what the solution ends up being. Underhood temps was one of the main reasons I didn't go turbo originally on my Silverado, but I haven't seen many people have this issue especially with the cooling upgrades.
My engine compartment gets stupid hot, I should get a thermometer under the hood one of these days I have considered putting extra fans inside or something haven't moved on it yet

A2w would also free up the real estate in front of the radiator for air flow...its not like I'm completely against it, just to have it how I would want it would be throwing another $2k+ at it all done.

Also turns out in my laziness to return stuff I already had another ac belt here. Put it on, going to see what I can do with charge pipe. No clamps are near but there is a 45* about a finger width from the ac compressor. With 20psi im sure these pipes stretch out and get as straight as they can. And no I'm not giving up ac :anitoof: I can push the charge pipe into the ac compressor, takes a bit to make it happen but no doubt the turbo can do the same thing. just jamming into the ac clutch will prob slow it enough to kick the belt

Took a couple chunks out of the alternator belt I had on there, I ordered another to replace it before but I just threw the old one back on

Old alt belt will get thrown in the back for side of road emergency back up

Overall I'm happy that nothing major broke, the electric water pump and hydro pump held out on only the battery for a few miles. I'd be lying if I dont say that I'd hope it would run a 10 pretty easily, harder launch and it prob would have but still o well.

and last but not least!

prob prevented the whole thing from burning down. I had a mechanical fuel pressure gauge mounted directly onto the regulator. the other day after going over everything i noticed what i thought was condensation around the regulator and around that area - thought man the fuel must be nice and cool" fast forward to yesterday...popped the hood, still looked like condensation! wtf! it wasnt condensation...wasnt really oily, was clear, gauge was still full of fluid, scratched my head...decided to pull the gauge off anyway.... it was the glycerin from the gauge, the gauge is full of E85 :nono: . it had been pushed out, mixed with e85 all the way down the valley cover and was even dripping to the ground at the back of the block, thought a coolant plug was coming out or something. what was coming out of it didnt smell like e85 at all but i assume when all the fluid that was in the gauge was gone it would have been leaking e85. left it off and just plugged the hole in the regulator

What converter did you end up running, what's your staging procedure? Have no doubts you could get that 60' lower without changing anything but staging and how you leave. 330' on point! 100 and 125 is definitely enough mph for 10s, so close!!!
