Weeeeeeeeeeee! I LOVE acceleration!

And there's still plenty left in it :win:

You could sell rides to people to help recoup some build costs. The amount of throttle input can be directly proportionate to the amount they pay. What part of Florida (besides "south") are you in? Maybe I can sneak over next time I'm down there.

I am about 15 min north of west palm, 5 mins from track :angels2:

its pretty "safe", and stupid at this point...next thing i have to look out for is the injector duty cycle. 78% at the top of 2nd, prob another few % at the top of third with that much ethanol.

Mine are pwm...start at like 160/55% ramps up to 195/99%. I also played with the fans after ignition off, have it and water pump on for up to 300seconds depending on temp

I thought only the K2 platform had pwm fans. That's the only thing I like about the K2 trucks/SUV's and you're saying our GMT900 is capable of this too? I would love to have my fans slowly go from low to hi and vice versa instead of just 2 speeds, especially because of how loud mine get on hi - and mine run hi slot of the time due to the weather here and I think it's in my tune to run them more for my 6.2
I wonder since I use BlackBear if they can do this for mine too, as well as have them run a short time after I turn the key off.

Thats what it shows in the hptuners, ive never actually sat and watched them ramp up tho

this is just an old tune file ive got at work, the ignition off is where i punched in some values to keep them running after shutting off.

something weird last night too, temp gauge on the dash quit working. it was slowly coming up over 160 then just went back down to 160 and driver info dash crap said "engine hot ac turned off" the scanner showed the temp sensor working, couldnt turn ac back on, so something else i gotta look at. ac belt was also shredding, already ordered a new one to replace

the "engine hot a/c off" message had a fault code, didnt really think to save it, but it was basically engine wasnt coming up to temp fast enough and assumed there was something faulty.

the drive it came on i had jumped in it after work an immediately drove it, i usually start and let it idle for a while, check a few things, etc. i cleared the code, the message stayed on the dash, but letting it idle up to temp it went away and the ac turned back on. soo i dunno wtf, guessing if i would have just turned it off (while it was actually up to temp) and started it back up message would have been gone.

waiting on ac belt (bought other stretch belt also cause it has to come off to replace the ac) so i can drive some more, may see what track looks like friday.

Got new ac belt on...

Also wired up some switches for fuel pump #2 and the hydro pump. The hydro pump i pretty much want on all the time but when flashing with key on it sits there and whirls so thats pretty much the only time it gets turned off. The fuel pump I just want to be able to turn it on manually when I want to.

I grabbed a small 2 switch panel I thought I could mount next to the headlight switch. I used a factory relay for something, dunno it was just there under the fuse box 40 or 50 amp iirc. But its triggered by completing the negative, the hydro pump uses a positive to trigger...so i need to pull the "prewired" junk off and pretty much just destroyed them lol. Theres supposed to be 5 blades on the back of each switch, more than half of them pulled out Sooo I just cut a small square out of aluminum, grabbed a couple cheap pushbutton switches and threw it together.

Didn't really take pictures of the aluminum and pushbuttons, was kinda annoyed at that point. didnt have any scrap abs plastic around or i woulda made it out of that

went to track, still sucks.

i'll post some time slips in the morning, it was stupid hot, which is fine tuning safely around it. what sucks more is the wait to get a run in intake temps climb to like 120* before i even run - end of run IAT is like 160, pulls 4-5* of timing i think up there. prob could have added some back in but its just test n tune. loading it up on the footbrake works but kinda cringy everytime i do it i dont think the heat helps either - need to decide whether im going to live with it or do a dump/t-brake/2step instead.

first pass, best pass, lowest boost - got it back to low 11s (11.2/125), 1.8 60' with some footbraking up to 4100rpm and about 4.5lbs of boost, peak was about 14psi. also did 100mph in the 1/8 on this run!

tried turning it up a little, peaked about 16psi..launch was pretty much garbage i flashed it up on the foot brake but didnt give it much time to build boost left at 3700 rpm but only 2lbs of boost 11.7/125

turned up a little more, same junk 3800 launch/3 lbs of boost, about 20psi on the top end. let out at the top, something didnt feel right** i'll explain below 11.5/12x

really have no idea where boost is at until i go back and look at logs, only thing i really keep an eye on during the run is the afr.

leaving had a newer camaro that was also leaving (behind me) soon as i pulled out he could, ran up next to me and about 3 or 4 car lengths ahead and then slowed down (wasnt really planning on playing around) but then drove next to me for a little. my turn was coming up in about a mile so i figured eh wth. dropped it back down into third, heard him down shift... and i put about 4 car lengths on him from 60-120, but my truck downshifted and ran through 2nd and when it made the 2>3 shift ate up the ac belt, it shredded and tangled up the alternator belt and kicked it off :banghead:

just happened a week ago, i assumed it was just an old belt (replaced) and happened again...i'm thinking charge pipe clamp may be making its way into it at higher boost. my last 1/4 run i think it started shredding the ac belt, the street run finished it off. did manage to make it all the way home (less than 10miles) on just the battery powering the water pump, hydro pump for steering and brakes, headlights on. battery was down like 11.2v when i got home but all is good.

Damn man. Sounds like it’s getting there but you’ve still got a few things to chase down. I assume you’re running a water to air cooler? Can you use ice?

Nah a2a still, street pulls it really isnt an issue even with ambient being 90* end of a pull it is usually only about 125*. but when i start with 120* it sucks

ive put quite a bit into going a2w but to do it how i want would be a lot of money to make the switch all at once, i'd like to do a chiller and not have to f with ice all the time so that adds even more $$ to it.
