Workin on it ....few friends of friends trying to get good quality video.

throwing go pros on brings out the grudge racers and shit talkers.
just mount one up on the passenger side in front of the mirror like a dash cam, no one will even notice it. they make mirror mounts too, then it's not like sticky out the side of the truck on the window obvious as hell.

POV isnt all that great unless im running someone down. told peoples to send me the vids

got it aligned (again) at my buddys shop - he just moved and was still get his rack set up when i needed it before. other placed trashed the cam bolts and pins, got it "as close as they could" :banghead:

so i cleaned all that up, got the bushings over the pins, and brought it to him- it was pretty messed up still lol. needed a few cranks on the tie rod ends also which other place i dont even think touched. AND straightened out the steering wheel, it was off a little and it would throw a service suspension system/traction control codes.

it drove straight but bump steer was pretty bad and walked to walk all over. drive home was a whole lot better

What is with these shops and “as close as we can get it crap”? I only had one truck that was hard to align because it got crunched and we didn’t have enough cam travel so it was a temporary alignment until I could get new cams. Another truck had a frame that was two frames spliced together and it aligned fine. Lazy....

At the time I took it I had just swapped uca/lca tie rod ends spindles, put in the offset bushings all from a 2015 truck so I just assumed it wasn't possible to align it. Which was weird cause they said one side got close the other wouldn't. And I put the same parts on both sides. So I took it home to look at it and saw they mangled the cam bolts all up

RIGHT?!

After I lowered mine with spindles and struts along with installing all new arms, ball joints, etc., I aligned it with a string pulled tightly between two 6T jack stands, measured with a precision metric ruler and used a digital angle finder on a piece of angle iron to span the wheel vertically. I centered the steering wheel by test driving on both sides of the road's crown then adjusting both tie rods evenly 1/4 turn at a time. For the camber, "as close as I could get it" for me was within a tenth of a degree, and I hit the exact numbers I wanted.

not much doin...been driving to work a couple times a week trying to find all the probs mechanically and with the tune, both are pretty solid. since the tune is getting a little closer and setting up the laptop everytime i drive is annoying i grabbed a phone mount and set torque app back up with the important stuff - and if needed i can reset the check engine light if the throttle fails (i hope, hasnt happened yet)

put the heater hoses back in the loop, took a couple days to get all the air out of the system.

new cv axle is much better, no more grease everywhere, plenty of clearance to the lca.

was making some noise i thought the exhaust came loose at one of the vbands and turned or something, trouble of snaking 4" exhaust all the way back. was horrible cruising with converter locked up. turned out one of the hangers "broke" off, ****** weld job. pipe was laying on transmission crossmember. cleaned it up, set exhaust where it was away from everything and welded it back on.

throttle body WAS working trouble free for a few weeks, then outta nowhere it failed, on a little 2nd gear pull after picking up some pizzas. sooo the only time i'd hear some real blow off valve noises were when this thing failed and the tb was completely shut> ie it normally didnt work too well. i noticed this before and tried the lighter spring that came with the BOV but it was too light and would open under idle causing all kinds of problems. pulled it back off, cut the spring down and reassembled a few times till it felt about 1/2 way between the heavy and light springs. put it back together and threw it back on, it definitely "works" much better as in after getting off the throttle in high rpm is makes more whooshy noises. it wouldnt exactly help with the WOT runs, but im thinking if during throttle closing it can exhaust the pressure it may solve some of the problem.

coolant tank taking forever, ive stopped by and tried nudging it along a little - im not really ready for it so no big deal, but id like to have everything here and waiting for whenever i jump up one day and decide its time

still leaks some oil and trans fluid, not enough to drip but it just slowly makes its way down the pans so whatever just going to live with it i guess
