not much doin...been driving to work a couple times a week trying to find all the probs mechanically and with the tune, both are pretty solid. since the tune is getting a little closer and setting up the laptop everytime i drive is annoying i grabbed a phone mount and set torque app back up with the important stuff - and if needed i can reset the check engine light if the throttle fails (i hope, hasnt happened yet)

put the heater hoses back in the loop, took a couple days to get all the air out of the system.

new cv axle is much better, no more grease everywhere, plenty of clearance to the lca.

was making some noise i thought the exhaust came loose at one of the vbands and turned or something, trouble of snaking 4" exhaust all the way back. was horrible cruising with converter locked up. turned out one of the hangers "broke" off, ****** weld job. pipe was laying on transmission crossmember. cleaned it up, set exhaust where it was away from everything and welded it back on.

throttle body WAS working trouble free for a few weeks, then outta nowhere it failed, on a little 2nd gear pull after picking up some pizzas. sooo the only time i'd hear some real blow off valve noises were when this thing failed and the tb was completely shut> ie it normally didnt work too well. i noticed this before and tried the lighter spring that came with the BOV but it was too light and would open under idle causing all kinds of problems. pulled it back off, cut the spring down and reassembled a few times till it felt about 1/2 way between the heavy and light springs. put it back together and threw it back on, it definitely "works" much better as in after getting off the throttle in high rpm is makes more whooshy noises. it wouldnt exactly help with the WOT runs, but im thinking if during throttle closing it can exhaust the pressure it may solve some of the problem.

coolant tank taking forever, ive stopped by and tried nudging it along a little - im not really ready for it so no big deal, but id like to have everything here and waiting for whenever i jump up one day and decide its time

still leaks some oil and trans fluid, not enough to drip but it just slowly makes its way down the pans so whatever just going to live with it i guess
question: are you seeing the throttle close in the live data somewhere, I have been having a problem if I am at wot when it shifts from 1st to 2nd I loose all power for a moment then it kicks back in with a slight bit of hesitation and then into 2nd gear I suspect the transmission but not entirely sure. any idea if I hook up efi live what I should look for in the data?

yea you should be able to log commanded position and actual position. there are a few different tags that show both as percentage or voltage. the truck ECUs only open the throttle to ~83% however it shows different on different tags.

stockish tune will use ETC (electronic throttle control) for traction control, should be able to log when its active also.

edit - my issue (i believe) is either during a shift or coming off the throttle the boost is holding the blade open while its commanding (expecting) it to close via the return spring. the delta varies too much and it faults out

I wasn't planning on it, but I was just messing around. Forgot I had ordered the wiper arm puller tool a couple weeks ago. Pulled them, the cowl cover, wiper motor and arms...and was like f it

I'm hoping the piece i cut out i can basically turn it over and around, to cover most of the hole and just fill in the sides.had to break for dinner, going to test fit this big sumbitch before I call it a night

Imma be honest with you guys...this is not a good bolt on mod
Starting to doubt its gonna fit with the hood closed. There's about 3/4" between the insulation pad and the hood bracing. That pic was taken before intake was set all the way back. Needed like 2" to close at the time. Sliding back does help but dunno
