i was a little over ambitious with getting this done lol, was hoping to be able to button it back up and atleast have it driving buy the end of the weekend.
need to order and install the back water fittings before putting the manifold in place for the last time. that'll give me time to finish boxing in the cowl where i cut out. im just going to end up putting a few tack welds on and then seam sealing the hell out of it.
for the "charge pipe" i think i have enough silicone fittings to atleast make something work to get it over to my buddy shop to make charge pipe out of aluminum with a blow off valve on it, same guy guy thats taking forever to do water box. going to need him to vac down ac system to install chiller and then recharge system. so i dunno if takes long enough i'll just be ready to do all of it i guess
Awesome progress and work as always. I was thinking you had a big shop you’re doing all this in. No?

went ahead and ordered two fittings for the back of the manifold, couldnt think of anything else i needed. one is o-ring right to the hose fitting, but says it doesnt swivel - not sure if description was wrong but it also doesnt look like it. so no idea which way the fitting is going to face when its tight.
also grabbed just a male>female 90 that can point whichever way, it may work better cause i almost want to like 45* away from the manifold anyway. using the oring hose fitting i need to make the bend with hose, and the large hose needs a good bit of radius to avoid flattening it.
also ordered a super tight radius 3.5" 120* bend aluminum pipe to probably make the charge pipe out of - not a fan of the pie cuts, hoping to make it all out of a single piece. tight bend probably isnt the best for air flow, but the alternative it basically to turn them both down and make a U-shape to come back up. part of wanting to do this is to improve out of boost response - as it is i've got this 427 trying to suck air through 6foot of 3" and 3.5" pipe and an intercooler when out of boost

the hi-ram comes with studs, to thread into the heads and you're supposed to just drop the intake on. but because the engine sits back it wasnt possible - so i swapped the hardware over to stainless allen head bolts (for all but two - you cant get hardware into the hole because of the fuel rail boss so those stay studs that you have to thread in after, pita) hardware for the intercooler to the lower manifold, came with some hardware that i guess would have threaded down into the lower but thats not how my hiram attached anyway, so i needed hardware for it, more stainless allen heads and stainless serrated nuts.
and some arp hardware for the throttle body, cause why not :D
