overnighted the hose fittings i needed, should be here today.
finished up boxing in, seam sealing, painting that ugly pos - should be ready to throw manifold on for the last time! intake prob weighs about 50lbs all together, putting it on and off 100x sucked.
i put the cowl, wipers, trim pieces all back on. needed a lot of heat to shape that abs/plastic to the hump i made but it came out pretty good. the less it looks like i did something the better

sooo got home started throwing it the rest of the way together. went pretty good, those 16an fittings were a mfer to get together - dont remember them being that bad when i did water pump crap.
layed out the hose to the water box pretty close, has room to move around a bit should be able to get about anywhere with it and have it not look bad.

almost done got up to trying to bleed out the coolant system, hit the key heard some psshhh noises. thought that was odd, every ******** injector was blowing fuel out lol. was so ready to be done "early" but i really didnt want to start out tomorrow covered in e85 so i kept at it. top orings into the rail went on a little easy but didnt think anything of it, but guess they hardened up a little from being out for a few days. had some luckily so i swapped all of them out and doesnt look like any more leaks.

still need to wire in the separate intake temp sensor, i just plugged the maf/iat in to have it read something otherwise it defaults to max iirc. started it up and you hear EVERYTHING going on inside the engine like a billowing echo thru the intake with those runners, short charge pipe and shit lol. theres no coolant in the intercooler so it may dampen it a little but was not expecting that

need to keep working on getting air out of coolant system, started buggin guy about water box, waiting on that christmas bonus to order the chiller.

temporary charge pipe also, just whatever i had around thatll work, needs a bov in there

I've heard people complain about excessive noise from cheap ebay sheet metal intakes but never expected it from that piece of art. I bet the coolant will dampen it a lot. Those AN lines look awesome, do you have a specific vice jaw attachment to hold them without scaring them or what?

Yea I'm thinking I may have just been hearing the open water ends of the tank reverberating. I'll reserve judgement till its full.

Just a set of "soft jaws" in the vice, aluminum from probably summit nothing fancy. Adjustable wrench tightening it up, usually try and just make complete turns without lifting it off. Rarely comes out perfect tho
