Got home from the river in the Mt Hood wilderness and saw this mountain rescue on the news. I’ve never seen a chopper used like this and there’s been lots of rescues on Mt Hood. Incredible IMO. 11000 feet up near the peak.

Pilots! I think the Chinook is our fastest helicopter, even faster than some of the gunships. Everyone had to be on their toes, including those being rescued, walk in the wrong place and get a permanent haircut! There's a reason why we still have them after fifty years, it's a great design.

Yup I'm pretty sure they are the fastest bird we have which is impressive considering its size and looks

I learned a lesson last week. Never ever use a pressure washer to clean a vehicle, as my friend who owns a body shop told me after it was too late. There must have been a tiny chip in the clearcoat on the hood because it resulted in a penny-sized hole by the time I noticed it. I was trying to get the damn bee poop off. I did find out that HE laundry detergent works with a soft cloth. Too late. I didn’t take a pic because I’m too ashamed. It’s getting fixed and they’re looking for s stock front bumper too. Also having them fix the rusted seams on the rear tubs because they said they can be tricky to do them right. Stopped by yesterday for progress.
