I heard the AC Delco Advantage Line is terrible. True?

I usually go with the AC Delco "professional" which is supposed to be the OEM part. I've not tried the Advantage line, yet, but wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't great. If it was a choice of Moog or a less version of AC Delco that is not OEM I'd definitely go with Moog. Moog usually puts out good quality stuff with regard to steering and suspension components.

AC Delco has 4 lines.

Specialty, Advantage, Pro, and OE.

Specialty is just what it sounds like. Avoid advantage. Pro seems to do the job most times. I buy OE whenever available.

Don’t go with the lower end AC Delco OR lower end Moog parts. Buy either one’s more expensive parts. The low end line is there just to compete with the crap like Detroit Axle which you don’t want either. Don’t cheap out on stuff like this, the labor is most of the cost and you don’t want to pay to have it done twice.
Are those the decent moogs that I posted? If not. Could you post a link to a good/decent set?

Part number is 19149617 and I guess it’s $80 per tie rod. Seems speedy but in the end they’ll last you a LOT longer. The cheap versions usually last a year or less

Just for reference, the good OE AC Delco tie rod ends run ~$80 per pair. Let me find a link for you.
Thx, I'd appreciate that. Shoo wants to charge $125-135 for an unknown parts store quality set. I'd rather bring them a much better quality set--plus cheaper. Win/Win--for me :D

I try to always do my own work but when I can’t due to not having the time or whatever I always provide my own parts. At then I have control over that and not the cheapest part the shop can find lol :) you’re making the right choice

Those are their 'problem solver" parts and are the good ones. They're the ones I put on mine. Those or the AC Delco OE are what I would get but the Moog are half the price of the OE. I've had them on The Beast for 3 years so far and you know how I drive, plus I was running 26's for 2 years. Steering is still tight.

If you have a Napa close by check there too, Moog makes a lot of there suspension parts if not everything, they might have a better price

AC Delco professional is what I would use. Lifetime warranty and I run that line on all my stuff without issue. I stay away from Moog problem solver after a couple issues I’ve had.
Aren’t you glad I stirred all this up and made you go in for repair? Your welcome, I probably saved your life. Going 160MPH with 3 holes in tire, bad alignment and questionable tie rods, a recipe for disaster. Lol.
Glad to see this has come to light and your getting ahead of it. Peace of mind my friend. I’m probably the last person who should be preaching this but you may not have time for this but you definitely won’t have time if you crash, get hurt or worse. [emoji2371]

I'd go with those Mevotech TXE myself, the shop quoted you there marked up parts price, they charge you 3x the cost + labor to install. you could buy whatever you want slap them on and then just run back for an alignment, all they do is screw on and one nut on the end, the old ones usually pop off pretty easy, if not just stick a wedge in it and hit it with a hammer, 10-20 min job.
