I will be piecing it together also.Yeah I don't have a build page but thought about going back to that thread and adding details about the swap. I'd be happy to offer help and answer questions. There is a lot of info out on the swap but I had to piece it together.

I used a custom crossmember made by dirttrackracer..he's a member on Pt.net. it's a quality piece. I painted it chevy red/orange since it's unfinished metal and didn't want it to rust. I run longtube dynatech headers and their ypipe and the crossmember frees up a lot of space. I could run factory exhaust no problem..I will be piecing it together also.
Did you make your crossmember?
What did you do for your exhaust? I am hoping to use my factory exhaust with minimal changes.

I'm 2wd so all I had to do was swap the front yoke on my drive shafts and use a hybrid ujoint.the 4l80 has a much larger output shaft rpthan the 4l60..this is the yoke installed on the ds with the truck on the ground. No vibrations or issues at this time..What did you do for drive shafts ?
How much of a pain is it to do that rear axle seal? Last time I looked under my truck it looked like I'm starting to get some slight seepage on my driver's side rear axle seal.

Not bad at all Scott, and you seem to be more of a mechanic than most. I replaced both backing plates on my 01 due to rust and rot, damn salt, and not the 2 piece crap ones, which meant i had to split the rear. While i was there i did the seals since the axles were out. Most important thing I remember is to get the c clips in the right way otherwise they will slip off and bye bye axle...this was 7-8 years ago and i am by no means a mechanic. Get your nose plugs out tho...How much of a pain is it to do that rear axle seal?
