bought me a leather sewing needle kit. 8 bucks for thread and needles, ill give it shot. better then 200 bucks.

see if i can do 1/2 as well as tonyrodz there. i found a few vids on yt showing how to re sew leather. dont look so hard to make a hidden stitch. how they tie it off at the ends and then run the extra thread back under was pretty cool to watch too.

Just curious, what does the kit look like? Have a link to those vids?

its just 4 curved needles i bought the strongest thread the girl said they had, nylon iirc.


theres another on a sofa seam, same thing thicker leather, guy needed needle nose pliers to push the needle through.

I do that sometimes myself. Kills your fingers.

im sure i could make short work of my tear, but its to damn cold to be outside sewing. i can wait for a bit warmer day, or less to no wind would work too. i cant see doing it with gloves on in 20 degree temps and 20 mph wind lol
