What’s with that radiator hose?!
When I did the e fan swap I pulled it from a nnbs parts truck. Haven’t messed with since. The 6.0 is coming out of it in after winter to go in my rcsb so I’ll get a new one then lol

In my inexperience I cut out the jounce bumpers mount and put in a universal pancake bump stop thinking that it was just a plain old bump stop. Wrong. Thing swayed like a dang pirate ship on open water. Almost to the point of being hard to control. Pulled the wheel and measured distance from the area where the jounce bumper should have been and bought these

Energy Suspension 9.9101G ALL PURPOSE BUMP STOPS (2)

They were a little shorter than the 2 3/4 inch between the arm and mounting location. I took a gamble thinking I could turn some aluminum solid bar I have at work into a bit of a spacer to get it to make contact with the arm. Luckily, no need to do that. After I installed them and fully loaded the front end, the new jounce bumpers just kiss the lower arm as they should.

Results: night and day difference, significantly less body roll. And no more swaying back and forth when I hit a freeway transition. In fact, it may be a bit too stiff for some with them being polyurethane and not that foam rubber that came factory. But I like it.

Glad it worked out for you. I heard there’s a FB group (Tahoe Nation I believe) that’s suggesting people cut the jounce stop mounts off when lowering trucks with torsion bar suspension. It just goes to show you can’t believe everyone on FB lol.

Glad it worked out for you. I heard there’s a FB group (Tahoe Nation I believe) that’s suggesting people cut the jounce stop mounts off when lowering trucks with torsion bar suspension. It just goes to show you can’t believe everyone on FB lol.

Just got lucky, trying to diagnose this issue almost had me buying the eibach sway bar kit. Thank goodness I started lurking in that thread and saw your post regarding the jounce stops.

I’d imagine some 505 / 409 / simple green, etc.. and some decent rubber dressing would still clean it up nicely. That really looks bad next to the shiny, clean parts.

I’ve tried purple power a couple times. It helped some. It’s all going in my other truck eventually. I’ll get a new hose for it then
