I like those tails. How've they been holding up so far Sam? I know alot of those led bulbs/lights burn out prematurely.

What makes you say that? My Spyders are over 3 years old. I haven’t heard of anybody having led tails go out at all.I like those tails. How've they been holding up so far Sam? I know alot of those led bulbs/lights burn out prematurely.
So far so good. Only had them installed for about 6 weeks or so. I like em.I like those tails. How've they been holding up so far Sam? I know alot of those led bulbs/lights burn out prematurely.
Off and on over the years I have. Maybe it's the cheap China ones that go out prematurely. Iirc, @adventurenali92 had a set that might've went out. Or was it heads? What makes you say that? My Spyders are over 3 years old. I haven’t heard of anybody having led tails go out at all.
I think my first two sets of LED tails were cheap Chinese knock offs. The first set of tails I bought were not wired the same as the left tail turn signal and brake lights functioned differently than the right side. And they were supposed to have resistors wired in to solve the issues with the LED power draw, yet they didn’t and my cruise didn’t work with them. Fortunately the seller I bought them from refunded me. The set I had before my current LEDs had a c shaped running light tube and the tube developed A malfunction in the light that eventually started to move through the c shaped tube. It developed Several spots that didn’t light up and would move around the tube part. It ended up happening in both tails. It was quite annoying. However the individual LEDs that functioned ad my brake and turn signals didn’t have any problems. I think I’ve had current LED tails for over a year now and they haven’t developed any problems.Off and on over the years I have. Maybe it's the cheap China ones that go out prematurely. Interestingly enough both the two previous tail light housings came in spyder packaging. But I don’t think they were. There’s some areas I won’t cheap out on, and lights are one of those. If you buy a name brand you’re good to go. I guess if you bought cheap incandescent housings it wouldn't be a big deal, you can just replace bulbs when they burn out and you can seal them up with silicone but if an led or tube light goes out and it isn’t serviceable you have to toss the whole thing. LEDs should last pretty much forever, it’s usually the circuitry that powers them that fails.
Knockoffs maybe? You can usually tell by the price. You know the saying- if it seems too good to be true..Interestingly enough both the two previous tail light housings came in spyder packaging. But I don’t think they were.
