We hit 53 degrees here in MA yesterday. I was off for the holiday, so oil and filter change got bumped up in my schedule for the week. My next day off is Friday. It is expected to be 31 and 6+ inches of snow. Welcome to spring in New England!

Mobil 1 was on sale at NAPA. Did 5 quarts of the high mileage full synthetic. Yes 5 quarts... I grabbed a quart of 10W30 by mistake and when I went to get a quart of 5w30, they were out of the Mobil 1. I went with 1 quart of Valvoline full synthetic high mileage to finish the job. Based on the color of the oil coming out the drain, I kind of doubt the PO splurged on synthetic. So I figured 1 quart of Valvoline, mixed in with the Mobil 1, would be just fine with my motor.

Also... Fired up the Tech 2 for the first time yesterday! No problems! Booted right up and I was diving into all kinds of data in no time! Now I just have to learn all the ins and outs of using this incredibly powerful tool!!!
Very happy with purchase from www.chinacardiags.com

I wasn't happy with the performance of my engine heater

After pondering.... I have come up with this abomination

It's running now. See how well it works. If it's decent, I can post part numbers
125f coolant temp at 26 degree ambient

I'll take it

Give them a call. Frank answers the phone and is super knowledgeable. Explain what you goals are now and in the future. He will help you choose a stall. I know when I bought mine, if you bought a converter through them they extend the warranty by a year. I went with a FTI. I’m not sure if they offer other brands now.

I didn’t know you were getting a divorce but I suspect a congrats is in order! I also am considering moving out of this city, but probably not the state. Been thinking of moving to the countryside since I’ve retired and don’t need to be near a big population area in order to work. My problem seems to be that banks don’t like the fact that my income isn’t much anymore and they don’t base a mortgage decision on how much I have in savings or stocks no matter how much it is so I’d probably need to finish paying off this place, cash out and buy a place for cash. It’s in my future plans but I’m in no hurry.
Thanks Mark..! Much appreciated. And congratulations are definitely in order!

So after deep diving into the world of trying to buy a remanufactured transmission online and finding numerous complaints, bad reviews and scam accusations about nearly every seller I could find I decided to go with a well respected local rebuilder. He did my mother's Ford tranny 10 years ago and it's still going good.

There is the bottom line.

And I found his facebook and went scrolling though his old posts. https://www.facebook.com/Ken-Jewetts-Transmission-svc-llc-226958590711264/

Got it back today and it feels good so I will sacrifice a chicken to the voodoo tranny gods and call it finished.
