Give them a call. Frank answers the phone and is super knowledgeable. Explain what you goals are now and in the future. He will help you choose a stall. I know when I bought mine, if you bought a converter through them they extend the warranty by a year. I went with a FTI. I’m not sure if they offer other brands now.So, I’ll be signing my divorce decree within the next week to two weeks (hallelujah!), the house is under contract and should close March 7th. I will be staying in Colorado until early June, and plan to migrate to NE Tx at that time.
I will be driving my Yukon, which is just shy of 220k today, towing my car behind her to Tx. I plan to replace my transmission, and keep my current one as a spare. So I figure it’s wise to get this ordered quickly, since there may be delays.. @Rocket Man , after your experience with Performabuilt, you’ve convinced me to go with them. So I am looking at the GM level 3 transmission, rated at 900 HP. (Granted, I’m nowhere near that, but want this sucker to be strong, and I eventually hope to have a lot more power) so I’m trying to establish if there’s anything special to specify, or request with this build, and also what torque converter to go with. I believe Circle D is the universally understood best option here, but need to figure stall on that as well. Any feedback is appreciated.!
Think it'll work?I made a "just in case" heater core bypass, for if/when the plastic tees decide to call it quits. I'll toss it in the glovebox for safe-keeping.View attachment 363847
Well, CPVC can handle temps up to 200, and the 5/8" heater hose is a snug fit. So, yes, I do think it will work.Think it'll work?
Lol. I have a single barbed fitting with 2 clamps. Take the ends of the 2 hoses and connect them. Bam!I made a "just in case" heater core bypass, for if/when the plastic tees decide to call it quits. I'll toss it in the glovebox for safe-keeping.View attachment 363847
Come on, cut me some slack. I used what I had laying around. Didn't cost me anything.Lol. I have a single barbed fitting with 2 clamps. Take the ends of the 2 hoses and connect them. Bam!

But….you don’t need to make it a u-shape. Just use a short piece of pvc pipe if that’s what you want to use. The hose is rubber, it will bend and you butt the 2 ends together. No need to overcomplicate things!Come on, cut me some slack. I used what I had laying around. Didn't cost me anything.
