What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Actually, I can't start it until the VVT-delete 5-wire to 3-wire cam sensor adapter arrives from the jungle warehouse. How come none of you scoundrels warned me about that?

Anyways, the oil pump is primed, and the updated BBP tune is loaded into the PCM/TCM. New torque converter and a bunch of other new bits and bobs, but I reused a pile of fairly recent accessories from the 5.3 because why not, plus my plug wires matched the block paint scheme too much to throw out.

All my fingers and toes are crossed that I'm just one adapter cable away from firing this thing up.

Time for another beer, the first one went down faster than the first gallon of coolant into the radiator.

For some reason the official Dorman website has the wrong stud specs, and if you order what they say fits the heads of an LS you'll have a bad time.

I brought a manifold bolt into AutoZone to compare, and the "official" Dorman parts are 1.5 thread pitch, but an LS head is 1.25 (metric).
