What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Old EGR is on the left, used (but cleaned) replacement on the right.


She wasn't a happy camper. I assume that it was so bad due to the leaking fuel pressure regulator, making it run horribly. All that raw fuel pumping through the exhaust surely didn't make a clean exhaust to recirculate.


HUZZAH! No DTCs anymore! And this is after taking a 20 minute journey through town and some interstate time.


She runs a whole lot better. Now to let her cool down and change the plugs and wires, and I can start focusing on getting the steering and suspension in order.

Judging by all the nastiness inside of it, I'd need a fairly caustic solution to clean it to a degree where I feel its suitable to go back on the motor. It was almost solid carbon inside.

Sometimes it's just easier to replace rather than repair.

Pretty sure I fixed the infamous interior water leak, tracked the leak down to the hvac vent under the cowl caulked the 2 sides I can get too cleaned up around it and repainted it, just need to clean up the panel I had to remove, it was held in with seam seal just use a putty knife then pry it out with a screwdriver found this fix online, gonna test it tommrow and see how it turned out
