I've bought many parts from many online distributors but the worst I've used is gmpartsdistributor.com. They were easy to work with up until they sent me the wrong parts (part number on the invoice didn't match the part they sent) they wouldn't make it right. I have them saved in my favorites so I remember not to buy from them again. There are a ton of online distributors online so we can avoid the bad ones like gmpartsdistributor.com.

My 2 cents,

Chris

Did you find some captains in cloth?? Or are you doing a leather upgrade?

Have you tried asking the dealer for a discount? If they think you will continue buying parts form them, they will probably try to match the post shipping price, or even beat it. They have a pretty high markup to work with.

No cloth captains... I assume they don't even make them. I going to do the leather upgrade, but captains on ebay (titanium color) are going for $1300 (before shipping). That's a bit too steep for me right now.

Im considering upgrading my bench to leather and trying to find someone to trade... I think that is my best bet.

I've had good luck with gmpartsdirect.com. As long as you know exactly what part you need it's great and shipping is reasonable.

Hi all.

I just ordered about $800.00 worth of OEM parts from GMPartsDirect for the first time so I'll give you guys an update on how long it takes to get to me here in Richmond, VA.

Vehicle is a [fully loaded] 2011 Tahoe LTZ 4X4 I picked up about a week ago.

welcome! congrats on the purchase. just out of curiosity, if it's a fully loaded LTZ, what all did you order from GMPD that you don't have on it?

My question would be if you bought it brand new (hence it being a 2011) why not just order how you want it the first time?
