As per the listed city mpgs, you'll get 75 more miles out of a 25 gallon tank of gas from the 5.3 compared to the 6.2 ... at around $4 a gallon that's about $19 more.
Overall, I spent about $10,000 less on a SLT over a Denali and swapped out all the luxury stuff like grilles running boards, wood, shifter, etc. for less than $2,500 and I still get good gas mileage.

Nathan I'm not sure how exactly you get your $100/month figure.
On an average 12000 mile year the difference between 15 and 12mpg is 200 gallons more ... at $4 per gallon that's $800 more a year on the Denali, and that's if it is all city driving.
