    More than ever confusion

2013. It beats the Tahoe (for speed) hands down. More hp, same torque and 1000 less lbs!

    305/50-20 on stock 20" '16 2WD Yukon SLT?

Cooper Zeon LTZs- 305/50r20 on stock wheels. I think +27 offset. Some rubbage on back fender liners and front sway bars at full lock. Adjustable pan hard rod necessary if dropped or raised, or it just plain helps.

    305 50 20 Cooper Zeon LTZ

Yes. The rounder the sidewall, the less rubbing.

    Questions about Brake fluid.

I think 2-1/2 qts. I always get some extra so I didn’t run out and could flush until clean fluid came out... (I got 5 bottles of Motul, but I think it is 200mL?)

    BFG KO2's or Ridge Grapplers

Let me add confusion- Cooper Zeon LTZ. Beefy hybrid tire that I have been very impressed with for 10000 miles so far. American made.

    More than ever confusion

Good posts. Let me throw in my $ since I own one of each, (We’ll, an Explorer anyway). As for the Tahoe: it kills in mileage. I regularly get 22-24mpg on the highway (all-time high 34.9 for 20 mile average, don’t know how I did that!). It beats the explorer Ecoboost by a good 3-4mpg highway...

    Cargo Area Light Mod

I love this forum and this thread is a great example why! I’m finishing up my rear cargo light install with the help of everyone’s post here. This gave me the inspiration, courage to drill into my rig, and instructions. Question: where did everyone pick up the ground? I saw the picks in the...

    Questions about Brake fluid.

I change the brake fluid when rotating tires (not every time, but when required), so the tires and wheels are off. Makes it easier to reach and loosen the bleeder screws.

At the point of getting rid of our 2016 Denali

Just to add fuel to the fire. I was going down the interstate the other day and a Tahoe LTZ merged in. Looked like a 2015.5. I couldn't believe how much it was "pogo-sticking" down the road! I mean literally, the front was bouncing up and down several inches over every little bump. And not...

    Questions about Brake fluid.

As far as brake fluid, it seems most have differing opinions. Some say yes, some no. I changed brake fluid about a year ago and used Motul 5.1. Very pleased with the results. The most important thing is to flush and change regularly—about every 2 years or 50k miles. Not a hard job, just...

2015 Tahoe LTZ Towing Package Question

From the 2016 Order Guide (which I can't imagine is that much different), Max Trailering (NHT) on an LTZ includes: Includes (GU6) 3.42 rear axle ratio and (JL1) Trailer brake controller. 4WD models also include (NQH) 2-speed active Transfer case. The LTZ also includes: Z95 Suspension Package...

    Brake fluid

Owner’s manual never states brake fluid capacity. I used Motul 5.1 and used roughly 5 @ 200 mL containers? Typically, when I change brake fluid I like 3qts (or 48 fl oz) on hand. End up using 2 to 2-1/2 of them to bleed and flush. Don’t let the master cylinder run dry. Take your time. Have...

    Front Sway Bar Links

It’s really not that bad: Mine has been lowered between 1-2” at different times in the front and the front links were not a problem. Maybe 3” or over, but not with 2” drop or under. The rear was a problem because the ends of the bar hung down and was beyond parallel with the ground. The...

Has anyone upgraded sway bars yet on 15+?

I jave written down 7690 in my maintenance book, but it could be my lexdysia! They fit fine. No drilling. I did have to get some more SAE thick washers as the end links were originally at an angle. Used the washers as spacers and they are more vertical now. Hellwig’s customer service was...
