Thanks I will give it a try if/when I can get this stuff off. I actually had the chemical guys one in my cart to try, but I bought the cerakote instead, ooof. Wish I would have gone with the chemical guys in the first place.
Splotchy, streaky, not black but grey-ish. It looks bad. A lot of the...
At the minimum test this stuff on a small part of your plastic before doing all the plastic flares, steps, ect on the vehicle.
I bought this for my z71 fender flares back in May and just got around to applying it over the weekend. I don't ever make threads to bash products but damn I have some...
Thanks for updating, man I was going to do a lift as well but was worried because I couldn't find a diff drop for these either so I never committed to the lift....if you find one let us know because I would be interested.
Can anyone help me find the factory hardware for the 2005 -06 electric fan shroud? Looks like it would be some rubber pads, washers, and the two bolts. I'm just not happy with my hardware store bolts and washers. Looks hacky.
I did my efan conversion this weekend as well. I wanted to say that I don't have a trans temp gauge (other than data logging it), but I can tell my idling trans temps are higher now because I am getting a very slight slide into second gear from first, which happened on extremely hot days...
I did it myself with HP Tuners. I found a stock 2005 tune and used the "compare tunes" feature to see all the differences and then made them. I was intimidated by putting the two pins into the ecu harness but it wasn't that bad. If you have HP Tuners I can do the tune changes for you.
With a...
I just did both of my bearing hubs this weekend, bought the 14 dollar air hammer, same one as you. Made the job SO much easier. My drivers went out on Friday, decided to just go ahead and do both. Oh and I finally got my e fan swapped in with an @ScottyBoy harness. Money well spent. Just from...
If it gives you any piece of mind, they flushed my 2018 z71 colorado with the 8sp twice and the shudder was still there a little bit. Drove me nuts, a new converter would have fixed it but they were waffling around. I sold the truck anyways because used truck prices were/are insane.
Thank you for that! I put my info in and printed off the list of software calibrations for my manual dual zone system. Going to run it by my dealer friend who has a tech2.
Just an fyi for anyone with these issues. For the 2004 dual zone manual system, there are three new calibrations.
Mine is drivers side just like yours.... so I am really interested and rooting for you on a quick and easy fix!
Let us know how it goes and possibly snap some photos? That would be mighty fine of you!
Thank you @Fless @rockola1971 and @915_Tahoe for the help and info!!
I am in East Texas. Bummer it's discontinued. Hey at least it's some closure, ha. Probably not worth looking for in a yard with it being old rubber. Mine acutually looks great until you bend the elbows.
I am just going to...
My 2004 has done this exact same thing randomly 5 or 6 times since I bought it back in October of 2020. Drivers side only will suddenly get hot. Not hot like hot outside air, but actual heater air hot.....friggen super hot. If I run my hand over to the passenger side it's still ice cold coming...
You scared the heck out me with that one!
Congrats on the trans fix and happy to see you get into your own tuning. I have really enjoyed the process of learning and tuning with my MPVI2. I have only done trans stuff so far since I don't have my wideband yet. I don't feel comfortable with tuning...
I can't find the correct line for my flex fuel 2004! This is the line from the top of the intake over to the fuel pressure regulator. The issue is that the flex fuel vehicles have the nipple coming out horizontal vs upright nipple configuration (giggity) on the non flex fuel. Non flex part...
Dang! Hey at least you garnered a few more clues....hope you find it. Since other systems went haywire, I would try grounds first since that is probably easier than going through the harness.
They work by DC current producing a magnetic field to make the switch move (hence the copper windings). Trans fluid won't keep the magnet from working on a circuit like that, but when fluid leaks into the harness where ALL the pins are in very close proximity to each other, see that could cause...
Correct. From my limited knowledge, fluid inside the connector (outside the trans, but both male and female parts) can cause a lot of problems with these electronic controlled transmissions. It's not something you should just clean out and it's GTG, if it's leaking then the potting/seal is bad...
Don't forget to lightly scotch bright the surfaces the sprag bearings, piston seals and pump rotor/veins run on. Helps reduce friction by allowing trans fluid to build on the surface. That "precisions transmissions" guy I have watched a hundred videos on harps on this a lot. "Scotch bright is...
Just remembered something. It could also be an issue with the wiring harness...which would likely be fluid in the connector plug. Might be a good idea to undo the connector and look closely inside the end of the plug. If it looks wet, the harness should be be replaced.
If that's the issue, the...
I literally almost wrote the exact same thing. I love the way the exhaust sounds on turbo LS motors.
On a side note, in high school in the early 2000s, one of my best friends saved up all summer for a janky turbo kit for his old acura integra. Helped him install and actually tune it! We didn't...
I found the settings. See picture below. These are the settings for 2003 up. For pre 03 you are going to have the different pin setup into the the ECM but the only thing needed different from these settings is to change the setting under AC for "recirculation fitted" from Fan #2 like in the...
