Bet this question has been asked 1,000,000 times...

What I did for mine was ripped out the 1.5 din cage, took out that metal bracket, then put the DD cage in its place. You can move your AC controls down but need a 1/2in spacer since they sit far back, I used a piece of wood and some pretty long screws to hold it all in place, it does cut off...

Lower bumper to paint or not??

I had both top and bottom pieces of the bumper color matched as well as my fender flares, they are holding up great, you're not going to see huge chunks chipped off well at least I dont, I live in CA, if you drive on non paved roads then it's a possibility. I just recently sprayed the chrome...

    Factory speakers and amp question

There's a factory amp behind the glove box. I would say that the best bet would be to catch the speaker wires down by the kick panels and cut em there and run em to wherever your going to put the amp.

    Gutted my Yukon.

I did the same thing for 2 reasons, 1. tan interior is going to all black 2. I replaced my tan carpet with black vinyl so that I am not worried about the dirt & spills with the kids. If you have carpet and you dont clean it up really good it'll leave a stench or a moldy smell. The headliner isnt...

    Tape deck unplugged no sound

I did find out it was the rear controls that made the rear speakers stop working, kinda sucked because I had to buy the controls off of ebay, wasnt much but I had tossed mine, oh well now I dont toss anything!

    Paintable parts

I'm painting all of my interior pieces, everything from my door panels to all the plastic trim inside, vents, door pillars, door sills (coating those in that textured bed stuff that comes in a can)

    So what would happen if...

Check your fuses, those wires should have power. if your fuse is blown and you replace it and it pops immediately then it is makinc contact somewhere with something it shouldn't.

    So what would happen if...

Are you thinking if you hook up two live 12volts? you'd get 24volts and more "power" that wouldn't be true, you'd blow a fuse.

    DD install in a 2002 Denali,what bypass???

99-02's are din and a half so a double din will not fit directly without some modification to your dash bezel. What do you mean by harness bypass? Any aftermarket stereo will work with your current amp and speakers as long as it is wired correctly and you do the blue amp turn on wire to the pink...

    Interior Make Over

I tried the duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint on one of my headrest, so far its holding up just right, but I did get the matte black paint and it comes on a lil uneven if it doesnt dry right so you have to give it a few coats for it to set right, I was also thinking of just getting the seats...

    New stereo for the 02.

As far as bypassing the factory amp that requires rewiring at the amp itself, which detailed instructions can be found here. http://www.savagehomeautomation.com/projects/bypass-factory-ampcrossover-in-2002-chevy-tahoe.html

    New stereo for the 02.

steering wheel controls are for just that, the buttons on the steering wheel, I am assuming that you don't have any. The adapter is for keeping your on star and chimes working with an aftermarket unit.

    Steering control peroblem

theres a special harness to keep the on star and bose system as well as the door chime working with an aftermarket unit. For the steering wheel controls I would go for the PAC steering wheel module theyre easy to install and program thats if it doesnt need a resistor.

    Interior Make Over

Im doing the same to mine, it's got tan interior, I've got the door panels painted, most of the plastic trim and re-upholstered the headliner in black suede, it makes the truck nice and dark I really dig it. Im using rust o leum matte black bumper and trim paint I really like how that turned...

    A/C Control module swap

I've wondered that too since I am doing the double din conversion. I believe I read somewhere that the only way possible would be to have a wiring schematic for both cars for the AC controls.

Rear hatch, 05 Yukon Denali XL - Won't lock

Mine is faulty too, its a $50 ebay part. You have to take off the plastic cover pieces top window and bottom half, theres like a bolt or two that hold it in as well as the locking mechanism, pretty simple to figure out how to remove and install.

01 tahoe sub and d pillars not working

You can try 2 different things, use a spare speaker if you have on laying around to test the audio output from the radio directly meaning take all the speaker channels from your radio and wire it up to the speaker to make sure they're all working, if that proves to be working then you have to...

I'm finally upgrading the stock radio!

It should be pretty straight forward with an 03, you just drop it in with the dash kit and it should snap into place. You're doing double din for double din.
