Should I sell my 2007 denali for armada? Would love some advice

The armada isn't quite as peppy as my 6.2L :). But it is a really well designed 32v V8....very clean/quiet/smooth. The tranny is very smooth too, but so is my 6spd for the most part.

Should I sell my 2007 denali for armada? Would love some advice

Thanks, yeah I really like my Yukon XL for space...definitely more roomy and quite a few more features (unless I get the platinum armada). I really like Nissan drivetrains, they are super solid, but if my Yukon lasts another 50-100k miles I'd be ecstatic too. I reallllly like the 6.2L, I'm...

Should I sell my 2007 denali for armada? Would love some advice

Thanks for the feedback, I am leaning toward keeping it. I had the tranny fluid flushed earlier this year, and today I'm going to have the front/rear diff and transfer case done. Flatdale, did you do the autoride bypass? I don't tow anything so I'm guessing I could get away with it, however...

Should I sell my 2007 denali for armada? Would love some advice

Hey all, I've been going back and forth for a while whether I should sell my 2007 denali. The main reason for considering selling is all of the repair costs, and costs I can see coming up in the future for repair. Current Rig: 2007 Yukon XL Denali Mileage: 95,600 Situation: I currently...

    Rough idling 07 Yukon Denali...

Weird, so my rough idle was much more noticeable when I was in gear with the brake on, at a stoplight or stop sign. You could feel it almost pushing/lurching a bit in what felt like a misfire...caused vibrations etc, but it's all gone now. I haven't cleaned the TB in 2yrs, I'll probably do...

    Rough idling 07 Yukon Denali...

I figured I'd revive this thread because it seems that I've found at least a temporary fix to the rough idle issue. A few weeks ago my Denali was taking longer than normal to start, maybe 10s of the starter turning before it would kick over. After a week or so it finally threw the P0340 code...

Replacing camshaft position sensor 07 denali? P0340

For anyone else that reads this... so far replacing the camshaft position sensor fixed mine, and a nice side effect was that it completely smoothed out my idle problems. It was idling rough...now it idles as expected, no pushing/no feeling like it's misfiring.

Replacing camshaft position sensor 07 denali? P0340

Hi all, for the past few weeks my 07 Yukon denali has been hard to start sometimes, it eventually starts after 10s or so but it finally threw the code P0340, which says it's the camshaft position sensor. I purchased a new one and found it on the front of the engine, the problem is there's 3...

    Rough idling 07 Yukon Denali...

I still have the issue. It hasn't gotten much worse for me, I have 90k now. Still aggravating/annoying but hasn't stalled on me yet.

Those of you with Current Denali / Escalades

2007 Denali, Getting 16-17mpg in normal running around mixed driving, I believe I usually average 30-34mph in normal use. Highway - flats/rolling hills I get around 18 Elevation 5000-12000ft in all of my testing so I think I use a little less than some sea level folks. I also am pretty aware...

Power folding mirror problem 2007 yukon denali

I ended up having the dealer fix mine. They said they just put a new mirror in, however I'm not sure they did. The new one works and hasn't failed yet, but it doesn't fold completely parallel to the vehicle like the passenger side. I'm not sure if they took it apart and fixed it, or put a new...

    Rough idling 07 Yukon Denali...

Not on the 6.2L, and I actually think it's more common there from what I've read.

    Rough idling 07 Yukon Denali...

I don't think I'm going to worry about it unless it causes a major problem. Right now, it's a tiny bit annoying at idle, but it doesn't affect it much (never drops below 500rpm), and runs perfectly, responsive, has gobs of power. I'm guessing others must have bigger issues than I do, and maybe...

    Rough idling 07 Yukon Denali...

I have a semi rough idle, 2007 with 82k miles. It runs great, but idle has the bump. Funny I told my wife "it feels/sounds like it has a performance cam" on the test drive. It did have a K&N CAI, so not sure what the previous owner did. It sure doesn't seem to affect performance or be a real...

2007 denali prone to continuous problems? Should I keep mine?

So the only way to tell if you are losing pressure is to watch your guage/lights on the dash...and be quick to shut the engine off? Does it always cause damage or do you have a few seconds to catch it/prevent it?

2007 denali prone to continuous problems? Should I keep mine?

Brutus, where do you work? Is it a common/guaranteed problem they all have? How many miles were on them, or does it seem to matter? Any way I can preemptively just replace a simple part and not worry about it? I can't imagine with all of the Denalis/Yukons on the road that they'd all have this...

    Sell Tahoe for Denali?

the 6.2 VVT with 6spd isn't even in the same category as the regular 5.3L with 4spd auto. I've had both, the power to weight ratio is awesome in denali/escalade, and mileage isn't much different for me. If you know how to drive too, you can eek more out of the 6.2, also VVT/6spd helps mileage a...

Cold air intake on 2007 denali, what's it like without it?

I'll have to look at the tune and what it entails. Thanks :).

2007 denali prone to continuous problems? Should I keep mine?

I agree. I've got 4 kids so my car buying choices are pretty narrow anyway. What else has the room/features/torque other than these babies? There's just not much else out there for the same price.

    New owner 07 Yukon SLE

Congrats. I just went from the "old" body style 2004 to the 2007, I like them quite a bit more, much more solid feeling and a lot better crash test ratings...if you care about that sorta thing :).

Cold air intake on 2007 denali, what's it like without it?

I just got my 2007 and the previous owner had installed a full K&N CAI, which contains the cover, full tube with K&N to the engine. When I was testing driving it I could tell it seemed a bit louder than I expected, and seemed to run really well. I don't really have a reference point though...

2007 denali prone to continuous problems? Should I keep mine?

Well I guess I'll probably keep it. Luckily the dealer is putting on a new power mirror today at no charge. They aren't able to reproduce the ambient light sensor problem though, sometimes it works, sometimes not. I ordered the stop lamp switch for $10 on amazon....hopefully will last some time now.

    new guy here...buyers guide?

I was just in the same position you were. I ended up getting a 2007 denali. I've had previous model Yukons with the 5.3/4spd, as well as a 2007 5.3 suburban a while back. I wanted more power than what the 5.3 had to offer, but really I probably don't NEED the power. Though the 5.3 is great...

Power folding mirror problem 2007 yukon denali

It seems like the motor is fine (makes noise etc every time), it just seems like gears are slightly off or not catching correctly. Anyone out there rebuild/adjust and fix these things internally or is it just easier to buy a new one?
