It was well past broke in. The tranny was acting up, the A/C compressor was shot, airbag light on, ride control didn't work, tires were bald, and about once every 2 or 3 weeks it wouldn't start. After I bought it I was playing with the radio at the dealer when the salesman went to move the...
It wasn't today, but yesterday. I hope that still counts. I traded my 05 Denali XL in. It had 147,000 on it and needed a lot of work. I jumped ship and bought a new Ram 1500 Quad Cab Outdoorsman. I"m 42 and this is my first vehicle that isn't a GM. I still can't believe I bought a Mopar, but it...
Here is a little write up I did for mine. If you have XM this is a super easy install. If you are just going to use an ipod you wouldn't need to put in the Aux input. I got it from ipodcarpros.com

I worked with a guy that had them on his truck. He also had a small set hanging from the adjuster on his hard hat. I looked at them and thought "just what I want... a pair of balls slapping me in the back of the head all day." Anybody remember Seymour Butts? Now that was something cool to have...
I've had 2 5.3's that the throttle was sticking closed. If you take the intake tube off the throttle body you can probably see a buildup of gunk where the throttle plate meets the throttle body. I just sprayed cleaner into the throttle body and they worked just fine after.
Both my 00 Silverado and 01 Suburban had throttles were sticking closed. I just sprayed something like carb cleaner for fuel injected systems (throttle body cleaner maybe) in there to clean off the buildup of gunk. They worked great after. I don't remember them starting hard after I sprayed...
Tow package is a must. In addition it adds a stiffer suspension. When I first got my camper I had a 2000 2wd Silverado that didn't have the tow package. Talk about scary. That thing was all over the place. My 01 Suburban had 242,000 on it when I traded. No motor or tranny problems. The 05 Denail...
I have a Trail Bay 27DS camper that is about 30' overall length. The tag on it says it weighs 5050 lbs. without options (A/C, spare tire, full propane tanks, etc.). I live in it when I'm working so it's packed full of crap and I have 2 extra propane tanks. I have an 05 Denali XL and it pulls it...
Nice video. I have had a Prodigy contoller for 5 or 6 years and really like it. I found this site that gives the states towing regulations. http://www.towingworld.com/articles/TowingLaws.htm There's a few states that allow people to ride in a travel trailer. That's just stupid. Some require...
I usually go from around 16 mpg in the summer to about 14mpg in the winter with my 05 Denali XL. The reasons for this are that the winter blend gas isn't as efficient, it takes longer for the engine to warm up, and I let it idle a lot more during cold weather. That's my opinion anyway.
You will need to get a brake controller. You can get adapters for them that will just plug into the truck below the dash on the drivers side. If it only weighs a couple thousand pounds you might be alright without brakes. If your not experienced at pulling a trailer though I would definately put...
I was going to go off on this guy when I read his post, but I saw his age and was hoping it was a bad attempt at being funny or sarcastic. If he actually did steal this stuff then I hope since he is dumb enough to put it on here he gets busted. :Shit Eater:You don't fuck with other people's cars.
So I got the pictures in the right place, but how do you do it so they show up bigger without having to click on them (like in the pic of jplinville's radio)?
Hope this turns out alright. I've never posted anything this involved before.
First you will need to open the glove box all the way. There is a tab on the right side that holds it up. Just pull the side in a bit and that tab will clear the dash. Unplug the connector from the XM unit. There is a...
I'll take some pics and put something together tomorrow. Did you figure out if you have an XM capable radio? When pressing the BAND button XM should show up when you are scrolling through. If it's just AM and FM then you don't have the XM capability. I think you can still hook up an adapter...
I had a casette adapter in the 01 Suburban I used to have and it actually worked pretty good. I got it at Wal-mart for about $10. If you have XM you could get an Ipod adapter that plugs into the xm unit behind the glovebox. I have one in my 05 Denali. You can hook up an Ipod and control it with...
I had an 01 Suburban and I liked the 4wd in that a bazillion times more than the awd in my 05 Denali XL. I think some of that is because of the traction control though. I'd like to rip that out and shove it up some engineers ass. Even with it turned off it still does weird shit. If I don't want...
It depends on what your needs are. I have the rear buckets, but wish I had a bench seat. I actually use it as a SUV. I always have stuff in the back and always had the rear seat folded up. I finally decided to just take the rear seat out last year to give me more room so now I can only haul 3...
I took some pictures of my mirror today. You can see at the top of the mirror where the level of the fluid in the mirror leaked down. It doesn't look brown like your mirror, but the clear silicone I put over the chip has turned brown.
It looks like it is. I have an '05 with the auto dim. I got a chip in mine and there is a fluid in there that leaked out. There is a line where the level of the fluid is but mine has kind of a green tint to it, not the brown like your pic shows. I did put some clear silicone on the chip and it...
The tail lights for the barn doors have a notch out for the door hinge, so I don't think they will work. They just take a minute to get out though, so maybe you could try it.
I found these.

I don't know how they are quality wise, but they are pretty cheap for the glass. Good luck. My driver's side has a chip in the glass so I'm sure I will have it replace it soon.
I found this. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26354 It sounds like your problem. There is also a TSB that I think is for the hinges. You would have to go to a dealer to find out. It is TSB #010864015.
