Thank you Mike! It's funny you mention that because I thought about the starter, but I bought a Mr Gasket one that did not have the proper connections. I will return it and buy one for the 6.2. 148k on the starter, time for it to be swapped anyway.

Also noticed my trans dipstick doesn't lock in the tube anymore

I’ve had good luck with rebuilt and reman starters over the years. I like that one is sold by AC Delco also.

Yeah i got it from the ac delco part finder. Says its for denali 6.2

Just make sure it's for a 6.0 or 6.2.

Out of curiosity, are they physically the same size and the one for the 6.2 just has more windings to make it more powerful or are they different sizes?

What I'm getting at is, will the 6.2 starter bolt up to a 5.3 without issue?

I am guessing so, since he put his 5.3 starter on his 6.2.
