Aaaaaaaaarrrrgh. It never occurred to me that there was a different starter. I reused my 220k mile 5.3 starter and have noticed it sounds sluggish. Crap that little dandy is hard to get out and in!

Noticed my hot oil pressure does get pretty low. 25ish at idle. I am just using basic oil for now gonna change it a few times before putting synthetic in.

It pumps up immediately when hitting throttle but seems to cap at 50psi or so. Wonder if its the relief valve

Congrats man on the successful swap! No better feeling then seeing it all come together and run!

ON that note, what would you be looking to get for those PRC heads?

Thank you. Not sure on the heads, they're $1600 new and I am open to offers.

Where are you located? I don't want to low ball you, but know shipping cost can be a *****.

Played with the VVT today doing some part throttle tuning.

With the stock advance DIC showed about 9.7 MPG. Was able to get it back up to 12.1 by retarding the cam. Looks like it only maxes out at about 8 degrees though. I thought I could get 11, but I guess the limiter is a little aggressive.

It's definitely worse mileage than the 5.3, but that could also be from the CTSV converter.

I am going to modify the shifts too so it shifts earlier, the 6.2 doesn't need to be revved out at all to get moving. Its amazing.
