Okay, something isn't right.

I just remote started the truck and after 20 seconds the alarm went off.

I wonder if the shock sensor is not disabling when the remote start is activated.

I dunno ... looks like I'm going to have to go back to have them take a look at it. Ugh!

Oh and the alarm wasn't even set when it just did the 5-6 horn beeps.

Try disabling it on your dash and remote start it, see if it works right then.

Yeah, when I disable it the alarm doesn't go off when I remote start.

I can't believe that that's the way it is meant to operate ... surely it's supposed to disable itself when the truck is started remotely?

When it stops pouring I'm going to try and find both modules and set them to minimum sensitivity and see what difference, if any, that makes.

Hate to hear that Serge, electrical issues are my weakest area of expertise. I think these are great mods, but I'll probably take mine to the dealer for installation

Maybe they didn't program the modules correctly? I agree its not how they should operate, but at least you know that it is those modules that are goofing up the system. I bet it has different programming depending on if you have remote start.........

And now that I think about it... the rapid fire alarming just about happens at the same time that all the electronics actually shut down after you turn the key off. Coincidence??

They didn't test it out before sending you away? Those problems don't sound like an adjustment issue, more like something wasn't hooked up correctly.

I agree, obviously whatever testing they did was either insufficient or inadequate ... I'll go back next week and have them sort it out. As it stands I have to deactivate it every time to avoid false alarms.
