Welp, it was all for nothing. New motor time. Drove great for 3 weeks, now its putting off clouds of smoke at start up, and my oil is 2qt low in 700 miles. That's the way the mop flops I guess.

When the motor is out, what all should i do? My list is:
Water pump, belts, motor mounts, torque converter, arp exhaust studs, AC Delco knock sensors & harness.

Anything else you guys would advise?

Yeah its what i first thought would be the case. It cost me about 150$ and 30 hours to try and fix. It was worth a shot, and i learned a bit. It was too far gone, that's the way she goes.

Replace the oil pressure sending unit when you do the knock sensors since the intake is off makes it a lot easier

Sux the dealer won't make good on it. Looking for a little extra power or a stock refresh?

If it was mine, id go more power. Its my wife's so just plain stock. I think im going to buy a long block from westcoastmotors.com amd just pay a shop to do the work. I've never done a full swap before. And i dont have time to start a garage project. Summer time i usually work 70hrs a week. Plus i moved away from all my friends that would help me, and i havent made any friends in my new town..

I just want to have everything done that i can while their in there. Since were going to keep this car now forever...
