not at all, since your planing on swaping do it now!the 6.2 can easily drop in, with engine mount adapters, and a reluctor converter box for the crank sensors, a few lil modifications, and computer tune. Your good to go. Plenty info about swap on PT.net

I'll be damned! That sounds awesome!

Thats what im thinking. Be crazy 6.2, bet that would fix my get going issue. lol.

Chip - i got a 04 gto. Posted pics up awhile ago, but think they are gone and cant find them on computer.

nice rides.

yea, it was a low mileage pull out. But in your case, I would do a 6.2l gen 4 swap into the hoe. Thats what Im itching to do too.

have you looked into this? All i can find are some old threads about doing it. And some w/ a nnbs to a nnbs. Only found one truck z71 with a 6.2, but cant find it again. lol. Looking around, dont know if its worth the price of getting the 6.2 or just the 6.0 lq9. (and easier)

I dont know, this slowness pissed me off today, between the hardly no take off and this stupid engine whine from the speakers now im about to get rid of it.

yes, I was actually about to do this. Or put 6.2 heads on my 6.0. Did tons of research, the GEN3 heads develop more tq down low, and the GEN4 was more suited for top end HP. I decided to stick with GEN3. Due to me driving a heavy TAHOE.

But you can do a GEN4 swap easy, with a reluctor box, some mounts, programing. I little more hands on than the GEN3 swap, but still a LQ9 programing would have to be tuned as well.

I would bolt the 6.2 to a 4l60 but preferably 80e. cam the 6.2, put long tube headers, intake, stall. And have 1 hell of a animal after a retune.

Ive been reading up on what i find, and some vids it looks to be not too hard to swap into the nbs. Just as you stated those things.
