    Pics of 285's?

Only pic I've still got from when I had 285s

    Ducks Unlimited Hoe?

That's great, Duckie. I wish mine had something like that. I see my brother's old Yukon 2door driving around with it's blue paint and grey flares, and I think about how my old single color Hoe looks so forlorn. [sigh]

    Best 16" tire??

I have Michelin LTXs. The aren't really an AT tire, and if you go mudding, they're not for you. However, they increased my mpg slightly, and are a 70k mile tire. My last set (on another truck) went about 80k before they were done. My Yoko Geolandars didn't make half that.

    Switching to syn oil?

I've been using regular old dead dinosaurs for oil for the 90k miles I've put on this truck. I'm sure that's all it had before that, too. Would there be any issues now if I were switch to syn? I like Mobil 1 for my bike, and I'd like to use it for the truck too, if I could. I'm wondering...

Just filled up after a tank of ALL city driving. 12.8 mpg

    obs MPG

I guess you mean my thread? I'm right here, with my 18.7 mpg. Actually, almost all of my driving is in town, and I live 3 miles from work. With that for a daily trip, most of my fillups are averaging 12-13 mpg. The rare occasions that I hit the road seem to make me much happier about my...

    Another gas mileage thread

I didn't mean to start a pissing contest. Honest!

Thought mine was 29. Could be a 30. Hafta check the manual.

    Another gas mileage thread

You can insist I'm a liar if you want. Of course, you can also GFY, too. My math skills are not suspect, unless you think a calculator is incapable of simple division. Around town, I'm getting 12-13 most of the time, so I'm quite happy to see a considerable impovement on the highway...

    Another gas mileage thread

Got back this week from my work trip to our property in the mountains. ~400 mile trip with 2 fat guys and a truck full of tree-cutting gear, I got 18.7 mpg! :party33: Hell yeah! That was about half back road and half interstate. Of course, we had to haul ass home and run lmost nothing but...

    4 dr Tahoe/Yukon for camping??

My wife and I have slept in the back of my 4 door 4x4 Hoe. I'm also 6'2, like you, and with her in there, I could not sleep straight. I'm too long for the cargo area. Maybe if I were alone and could sleep diagonally, it would work OK.

    Gas mileage

Since I moved into the city, I'm getting a solid 13 mpg. BUt, I have a 2.6 mile drive to work. When I was driving 30+ miles to work, I was getting 15-17 mpg, but that was at 55-60 mph almost the whole way.

You know you drive a Tahoe when...

I don't mind that on mine. When it reads 1/4 tank, I'm a little under half. Kinda like a "no walking" insurance policy.

Ok so I've made my decision, now I need help with what to get/do

I just paid about $1800 to do the exact same thing. That was including many thing you are replacing, too. Still worth it over buying a new truck and paying out all that money every month for 60 months.

Help me with a budget build!

That's awesome! I find it interesting that you moved the seats. I'm 6'3, and my Tahoe is the first and only vehicle that I've driven where I DIDN'T feel like I needed my seat moved back more. And I don't need all the bump you have. I believe a simple 10 would probably work fine for my...

    Degreasing engine

I've never had any problems with just spraying degreaser and hosing off the whole engine bay. Am I doing it wrong?

Help me with a budget build!

So the box shown above is actually small enough to mount 2 10s under the seat and leave it upright? I thought AtomicHoe094 meant that the seats did not sit right with it there.

Help me with a budget build!

Agreed. I used the sunshade to cover up my guns and crap like that from prying eyes. Unfortunately, I have to keep my rear seat in its proper position. I'm too tall to sit in the driver's seat with the rears flipped forward. I think I might have to bite the bullet and spring for the Q-logic...

Little expensive for my taste, but I'd love to make it mine if I could.

Help me with a budget build!

Warning: I was into building a few systems when I was younger, but that was a decade and a few years ago. I remember BEFORE there was such a thing as Punch audio. I haven't even so much as looked at an amp or speaker since then, though. I'm looking to not throw a lot of money in this, but...

    I'm BACK!

It's my DD, and I'm probably looking to do a BB tune. That's about it. I can't bring myself to replace a set of 70k mile Michelins that are nearly brand new in order to put some new wheels on. I certainly need the gas mileage more than I need a lift for it. I'm hoping to leave it alone...

    I'm BACK!

First one went around 120k, second at 30k (had been sitting up for a while with no activity and had never really been right) and the third was defective from the start. I'm keeping an eye on this one, though. My dad had 3 in his 'Burban in ~200k.

    I'm BACK!

If you count the one that didn't make it out of the parking lot, it's sitting on it's fourth one now. ~160k miles.
